Glasgow Council often cries
That all is well in the city
But we think they should stop the lies
So have penned this ditty
Glasgow bears a lot, without thanks
It really affects our health
Our profits sent to Barclays Bank
We never see our wealth
We spread our suffering far and wide
Glasgow exports harm
All along the River Clyde
Are factories making arms
Out from underneath our noses
Public services cut
But we are bribed with bread and roses
To please ignore what’s shut
November, its that time again
A chance to hear from them firsthand
Their plans to sell out what remains
Of the economy they built on sand
It’s all planned out, there’s more than one
A surplus flow of strategies
Concrete plans that come undone
Gatekept, greenwashed tragedies
There’s still time to change our tune
And get Glasgow back in hand
If you’re not inSANE yet, you may be soon
Let’s make a People’s Plan
Happy Hogmanay!
